With support from the Henry Luce Foundation, AIFIS is organizing a series of workshop to assist Indonesian researchers preparing manuscripts for submission to international refereed English-language academic journals. The workshops will take place between 2018 and 2020, and will focus on helping Indonesian scholars in overcoming common challenges to submitting and publishing English-language materials to highly ranked publications. Spesifically, the workshops will provide strategies and methods to Indonesian scholars for publishing their research findings internationally.

Qualified mentors selected by AIFIS will help participants identify weaknesses in the structure of their manuscripts and in the presentation of information. The goal is to help authors meet the expectations of editors of international publications, and of the referees who evaluate submissions. The workshops will give participants a greater understanding of the publication process, including submission andevaluation of manuscripts, and insights into the possible reasons why manuscripts are accepted or rejected.

The next of these workshops is scheduled July 8 - 10 at Universitas Katolik Indonesia (Unika) Atma Jaya in Semanggi Jakarta.  For more information, please download the official announcement.  Space in the workshops is limited, so all interested parties are required to submit an application, found here.
