Open Source Technology for Motion Capture and Depth Sensing


Tools for sensing our world in three dimensions have become more accessible to artists and designers. This workshop will give an overview of the technology that are now available. Attendees will also learn how to do simple skeletal tracking using readily available webcams, and get hands-on experience with a depth-sensing camera as well.

Antonius Wiriadjaja

He is an Assistant Arts Professor of Interactive Media Arts (IMA) at New York University (NYU). He holds a master of professional studies from NYU Tisch Interactive Telecommunications Program and a bachelor’s degree from Hampshire College. He has taught courses on creative coding, physical computing, wearables, live digital performance, and animation. As a US Fulbright Scholar, Oki teaches creative computing to animation students at the Institut Seni Indonesia in Surakarta (ISI Solo).
