Schorenstein Post Doctoral Fellowships in Contemporary Asia

The Walter H Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center of the Stanford University  invites applications for the Shorenstein postdoctoral fellowships in contemporary Asia. These residential fellowships support junior scholars with research and writing on Asia. The primary focus is contemporary political, economic, or social change in the Asia-Pacific region or topics in international relations and international political economy.

Junior scholars whose PhDs have been conferred by 31 July 2018, or who have obtained their PhD within the past three years or have equivalent research experience may apply. Two fellowships, each worth USD 52,000 with an additional USD 2,000 for research expenses over a 10-month period, are available. Fellows are required to be in residence for the duration of the appointment, and to take part in Center activities throughout the academic year.
